Altis Sigma Prototype – First Ride

Altis Sigma Electric Dirt Bike

We recently had the chance to get our hands on the prototype of the new Altis Sigma during our time at Honolulu Hills Raceway in Taft, California, where the first-ever World EMX Championships were taking place. Altis coordinated with us to test ride their latest lightweight electric dirt bike, and though it’s still in prototype form, we couldn’t resist taking it for a spin around the property.

This bike has a 98v 35Ah battery that pumps out a claimed 21kW peak power (with 8kW nominal), and while we’ll save the full breakdown for the production model review, a few key things stood out right away. The Sigma is incredibly fast for its size, with the kind of power that really gets your attention. It’s a bit bulkier than other bikes in its category, likely due to that hefty battery, but once you adjust, it handles pretty well.

While the bike feels like a prototype—some parts will definitely change—the sheer speed and performance in this early version are undeniable. We’re eager to get our hands on the final production model soon and really dive into a full review. Until then, the Altis Sigma has left us excited for what’s to come in this ever-evolving electric dirt bike space! Stay tuned for more.
