The 2023 Red Bull Tennessee Knockout (TKO) has come and gone, leaving us thrilled with the turnout this year. The second annual ECR eMoto Class saw forty nine riders sign up to showcase their skills in the rugged backwoods of Sequatchie, Tennessee.
This year, the ECR eMoto class was honored with an AMA Grand Championship, and the riders competed in three rounds of racing over three days.
Day 1 (Friday) kicked off with a “hot lap” qualifying race to determine the starting positions for TKO Race #1 on Saturday. Out of the forty nine entries, thirty four racers took on the hot lap course about their electric dirt bikes.

The top 10 finishers from TKO Race #1 secured their spots in the highly anticipated Sunday final, where they would compete alongside the Pro riders. However, the 11th spot would be determined through a head-to-head straight rhythm race. The four riders who placed eleventh through fourteenth would compete for this final spot. Ultimately, Andy Lagzdins emerged victorious and secured the coveted 11th spot.
The Sunday race proved to be a true test of skill and resilience for both rider and bike. Out of the eleven entries, only six riders managed to complete the challenging course. It was Spenser Wilton who emerged as the champion, claiming the ECR eMoto AMA Grand Championship number-one plate while riding the Electric Motion Escape X Concept bike. Joseph Van Roekel (KTM Freeride E-XC) secured second place, and Bridger Greenman (KTM Freeride E-XC) rounded out the podium, taking the third-place spot.
