Electric KTM Races Against Gas Bikes

The race was a hare scramble format and I entered the Unclassified Class. Unclassified races for 1.5 Hours which might have made it possible for the EXC electric dirt bike to finish on the battery power of the bike. After a solid first 10 miles of the race, I got into lapped traffic and misjudged where another rider was going, grabbed too much front brake and tucked the front end in the slick sandy conditions.

I hit my head pretty hard and got dizzy! After picking the KTM up and realizing the bike was twisted, I was still pretty out of it and decided it wasn’t worth it to keep racing. I pulled off the track and went back to the pits.
